Community Outreach

The Heart Of Local Outreach

At the heart of Local Outreach is the desire to fulfill the plan Jesus has given His followers to do. In the Bible, Jesus instructed us to go and make disciples, baptize them and teach them to do all things that God commands.” (Matthew 28:18-20) to see where Jesus said this.

At Bethany, this means relating with others to help them see, find, and follow Jesus.  It’s all about relationship.

Here are six ways relationship is seen at Bethany:

1. We help people begin their relationship with God.

  • Click here to learn about Jesus and the hope we have in Him.

2.  We help people grow in their relationship with God–that is discipleship.

We offer basic courses focused on building a relationship with God, with other Christians, and with other people who may not yet have a relationship with Jesus. The goal is to be able to teach others what you are learning, repeat the process which is: discipleship.  As you study, you gain a deeper understanding of God’s love for you, building a strong relationship with Him, and living for Him.

3.  We help people understand the why and how of baptism.

  • Call the Outreach department at 602.344.3348 or e-mail Brad if you desire to be baptized or learn more about it.

4.  We also encourage people to get involved in a variety of community ministries.

5.  We care about making people feel welcome at our church.

You can come to informal meetings that will introduce you to more about Bethany.  You can be helped by small seeker groups which let you explore the Christian faith in a safe and thoughtful environment.  You can attend a class focused only on helping new Christians grow in their faith.

  • If you would like to be a part of one of these opportunities or be one of those who are ready to greet people, answer questions, and give directions to visitors, contact the Outreach Dept. at 602.344.3348 or email Brad.

6.   We also offer opportunities for training you to share your faith.  We are convinced that our community and world can only be won to God as we develop a genuine life-style of loving Him and telling people how much He loves them.  As Christians, we are ambassadors for Jesus.
